About Me

My name is Andy Verostic. I like to play retro games in my spare time. I work for my dad around my house, and help him out with his carpet job. I am not that good in school but I am decent if I actually pay attention. My favorite subject in school is metal shop. I also enjoy science class the second best.Photo_on_2010-09-20_at_14.02.jpg

STEPS

1. DNA Strands start to seperate.

2. The Strands of the DNA start to unzip.

3. It will form strand 2.

WHAT HAPPENS IN DNA REPLICATION?

There are three steps that pretty much describes what happens during DNA replication.
The first thing that happens is that the molecule strands start to unzip.
The next step is that the nucleotides start to pair up with each other.
The third and final step is that it start to form into another strand on the bottom.

VOCAB TERMS

Telomeres- a region of repetitive DNA at the end of a chromosome.
Okazaki Fragments- a short fragment of DNA
DNA Ligase- It repairs double stranded discontinuities in the double sided cell.
Telomerase- an enzyme that adds a DNA sequence that repeats itself.
Cancer- a group of diseases where it's cells have uncontrolled growth.
Transplanted cells- cells that have been replaced by new ones.
Cloning- a process in which one cell is idenitcaly duplicated.
Aging- changes of an organism over time.
